The Australian nursery rhyme "Kookaburra" was a favorite of mine growing up. So when I got the chance to illustrate nursery rhymes for a class, I knew it was only right to pick "Kookaburra." As if kookaburras weren't the cutest birds in reality, it was also really fun to draw one chowing down on a candy gum drop.
